Intouch Advance, Yorkshire’s leading telecoms service provider for business, announces a series of key new appointments, as part of an overall recruitment plan aimed at underpinning the company’s anticipated growth in Yorkshire and the rest of the UK telecoms market during 2015 and beyond.
New Intouch Advance Sales Director is Scott Walker, has joined the company this May from Vodafone Global Enterprise, where he has been UC & Global Data Specialist involved in global enterprise acquisitions and handling customers across Central and Southern Europe. Prior to Vodafone, Scott was New Business Sales Director at Core Telecom following almost 10 years as Enterprise Account Director at Alternative Networks.
At Intouch Advance, Scott will be bringing his acquisitions and enterprise expertise to bear on attracting new Yorkshire-based, regional and UK-wide business, as the company prepares for a year of major growth.
Simon Pollard, Intouch Advance CEO, says, “I am delighted to welcome Scott to the team. His experience and understanding of telecoms for the enterprise are a perfect fit with both our current customer base and our business aims going forward.”
In recognition of the important role mobile communications now plays in most companies, Intouch Advance has also increased the size of its mobile team, taking on Anisa Alia as Business Analyst to monitor mobile trends and developments, and Catherine Grayson as Mobile Account Manager handling a portfolio of customers within the Intouch mobile business unit.
In addition, the company is also actively recruiting for telesales and sales support staff needed to seek out and nurture those elusive leads!
Internal promotions at Intouch Advance are viewed with every bit as much importance as recruiting externally. “Someone must have the right skillset and experience to fill a post, whether they’re already on the team, or a total newcomer to the company,” Simon Pollard says. “With that approach in mind, we’re delighted to have been able to promote Laura Barrass from Billing Manager to Head of Finance after seven years with us and Melanie Close, from Sales Manager to new Account Director, after six years with the company.”
Pollard rounded things off, saying, “From 11 staff just over a year ago we now have a team of 19 across all our departments; and it’s not just any team, but one of the finest groups of dedicated and professional individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. These are the kinds of people I am looking for to add to the company in the coming weeks and months. We have the potential to take on 11 new staff in this financial year, ending April 2016, to fill positions we anticipate we’ll need to create in response to new business successes. If all goes to plan, I expect our tangible turnover, which, today, stands at almost £6 million, to reach £35 million by 2020. With the right people, it’s achievable and we can take the business to the next level.”
