5G: The New Wireless Revolution
5G (4G’s successor) has officially been launched by EE with the UK’s first 5G Mobile Broadband, and are ready to transform the way we do business! The 3rd July marked an exciting day in the communications world, with the launch of EE’s HTC Connected 5G AI Smart Hub. Other providers are planning to follow EE shortly with further launches in 2020, watch this space!
With enormous data capacity, rapid speeds, and incredibly low latency, 5G is expected to be a huge step up from its predecessor. 5G has the potential to offer connections much faster than the current standard, with average download speeds of around 1GBps expected to be the norm.
Not only does 5G promise to boost efficiency and unleash the potential of automation, but will also enable developing technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).
