Award winning telecoms company Intouch Advance, partners of EE, have caused a 4G stir in Leeds Train Station this week, through the provision of MiFi device and iPad gaming demos, free 4G wi-fi and a free prize draw to win the new iPhone 5s.
The event came at a significant time for EE, following the launch of rivals Vodafone and O2’s competing 4G service in Leeds and Bradford on Thursday 29 August 2013.
Leeds commuters were taking full advantage of the superfast 4G speeds over two very successful days during Leeds Business Week. Intouch Advance’s CEO Simon Pollard said:
“We were delighted by the fantastic response we had to the 4G speeds provided by MiFi.
“MiFi is a small device, about the same size as a mobile phone, which provides 4G mobile broadband to up to 10 separate devices – such as a laptop, tablet, e-reader and smartphone. The beauty of it is that you can take it with you wherever you go and download huge files in seconds – it achieves speeds of up to 100Mbps.
“We have received requests from over 200 businesses interested in signing up to 4G MiFi, particularly from those who travel regularly, work out on location and from site to site. For those needing to download large files, stream audio and video in real time and work as quickly as you would in the office, this is a must-have. At only £13.33 a month for 3GB data, plus our one off event offer of 3 months free if you sign up by 31 October, it’s a no brainer.”
4G from EE is now available in over 100 UK towns and cities, with Leeds having one of the fastest networks in the world. EE are committed to remaining focused on staying ahead of O2 and Vodafone in terms of both speed and coverage.
